Thank you for using BuddyPlay ("the App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application. Please read it carefully.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your email address through Firebase Authentication. You may also sign in via Google, in which case we receive your email address from your Google account.

Game & Activity Data. We collect information about your in-app activity, including:

• Games played, scores, wins and losses
• Points earned and spent
• Daily login streaks and session statistics
• Buddy AI companion interaction history
• Game preferences and settings

Device Information. We collect basic device information such as operating system version, device type, and app version for analytics and crash reporting purposes.

Voice Data (Optional). If you use Buddy's text-to-speech feature, the text content you request to be spoken is sent to our AI service provider for audio generation. We do not store audio recordings on our servers.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, personalize, and improve your gaming experience
• Enable Buddy, our AI companion, to offer personalized interactions based on your game history
• Track your progress, scores, and achievements
• Send you notifications related to game features (with your permission)
• Analyze app usage to improve performance and add new features
• Respond to your support inquiries

3. Third-Party Services

BuddyPlay uses the following third-party services:

• Firebase (Google). We use Firebase Authentication for user login and Firestore for data storage. Firebase's privacy policy applies to how Google handles your data. Learn more.
• MiniMax AI. We use MiniMax's API to power our AI companion (Buddy) and game AI features. Game prompts, chat messages, and text-to-speech requests are processed by MiniMax servers. View MiniMax Privacy Policy.

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on Google Cloud Platform (via Firebase) using encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information.

While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and game data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except for anonymized aggregate data that cannot identify you.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the following rights regarding your data:

• Access: You can view your data in the Profile section of the App at any time.
• Correction: You can update your account information within the App.
• Deletion: You can request account deletion by contacting us. We will delete your data within 30 days.
• Opt-out: You can disable Buddy's personalized responses in App settings. This does not affect basic game functionality.

7. Children's Privacy

BuddyPlay is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
